-Every wall in the kitchen needs to be touched up to fix the subpar painting job of his "professionals".

* Justin smartly (for him) set up the payment schedule so that we had to prepay thousands of dollars for each segment of the job. We foolishly agreed to this. Our mistake. The result was that we had no leverage whatsoever to pull the plug on KItchen Pro when it quickly became apparent what type of operation we were dealing with. We just had to make the best of this terrible situation.

Here are examples of Justin's shoddy work:

- Painted outlets instead of replacing. Typical shortcut to save a few bucks.

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!!

- Promised to fix the uneven subfloor before installing new hardwood floor. He didn't do it.

Pretty crappy thing to do...

This happened months ago and we have not been able to track him down...

* Since he wasn't showing up to do the work himself as promised, he continually brought in workers who were obviously not qualified to do the work; as a result, work had to be redone again and again and the final result was less than desired. Throughout the process Justin fired several workers who were obviously unqualified. As the owner of the property, you can imagine how unsettling this was for us.

Kitchen Pro recently completed a kitchen and bathroom renovation in our house. This process should have taken two months. Justin (the owner) and Kitchen Pro took SIX months to complete it!

* He allowed his contractor license to expire so he couldn't even get the city permit to begin the job (big delay).

- Left smears of paint on the new window screens that won't come out.

* He was terrible about returning phone call and texts. When he did respond, he would either complain that we (the PAYING CLIENT!) were either "micromanaging" him or else he would fly into a rage and scream at my wife or myself. Completely unprofessional.

Never heard back from him.

Thanks for costing my business and family $4500...

- Did a poor job installing drywall behind the range hood. Now the hood must be modified to fit properly.

* In conclusion, the kitchen finally got finished a full six months after we signed the contract at the end of June. The kitchen looks ok, not great, not horrible. My wife and I made a huge mistake hiring Justin and Kitchen Pro.

- Incorrectly laid in the hardwood floor by the fireplace, leaving a gap that had to be hidden with an ugly piece of trim that we hate.

POSTSCRIPT: Two weeks later we find out Kitchen Pro broke our thermostat and fried our control board when they painted the wall and tore the thermostat off the wall in the process. Cost to replace: $678.20. We tried to contact Justin at Kitchen Pro to help with reimbursement since his untrained people broke it in the first place.

Good luck!

* His promises to be on site everyday and do most of the work himself was untrue; he worked at our house maybe ten hours/week. We never knew when he would be there or when anything would be completed.

- Mismeasured the space for the built-in microwave oven in the island. Had to install a trim kit to fix. Our custom island is not custom anymore!

- Attempted to breach our contract by cancelling the dumpster during demolition. We had to complain about it before he relented.

We did a countertop install for a customer in Blue Springs. Customer is very nice and already paid Justin. We cannot get Justin to pay us. I have tried suing, but the courts are not able to find him to serve him his subpoena. We are a small company and Justin basically stole that money from us. I would not suggest using him as he is basically a thief.

* Justin got into an argument with my wife, then threatened to cancel the granite countertop order and delay the project for at least a month if we didn't pay him $5000 of the final $6000 due upon completion of the project. This was flat-out extortion. Period. We paid him $3000 just so the job could be finished. At this point we just wanted to cut our losses and have Kitchen Pro out of our house and lives.

This was absolutely the worst experience of our lives. Justin was unreliable and unprofessional throughout:

- Did not use finish wood for the trim around the new windows. Looks absolutely terrible.
